Veo and Kling: a three-shot pilot

22 September 2026 · One baseline per shot/model. Sampled visual findings; human playback and listening still required. No universal winner claimed.

The same fictional references and eight-second briefs were used. Both departures start from the same Veo end-state: this tests a common input, not a complete Kling film. Prompts are semantically matched, not guaranteed byte-identical; no shared seed. Play one clip at a time to avoid overlapping sound.

What the samples show

• Opening: identity and parcel retained. Kling does not clearly return to the requested gaze; both models have imperfect ending-pose compliance.
• Contact: both place and release the parcel. Kling completes release near the end, leaving less editing room; Veo separates the hands earlier.
• Departure: both leave the parcel behind. Kling looks steadier in sampled background frames; Veo reframes. This is not a precision camera-motion measurement.

Whole clips sampled at 2fps; contact also inspected at 8fps and Kling’s last frame. No extra person or parcel seen in those samples. Between-frame flashes, natural motion, acting and sound quality are not certified by this review.

Cost and technical facts

Kling: three 16-credit quotes, 48 Higgsfield credits observed total; no retries/top-up. Flow: 30 Flow credits for the three original clips. These are different platform units, not a euro price comparison.

All video is 24fps. Veo: 1280×720, 8s. Kling: opening/contact 1284×716, departure 1280×720; containers about 8.04s. Audio streams exist; listening is unverified. Native files are retained without forcing identical resolution.

Content Credentials inspection

The Flow reference and three original clips contain C2PA manifests. The reader reports valid signatures/hash matches, but also an untrusted signing credential under the configured official-example trust anchors. These are separate findings. Both edited review exports and all three Kling originals contain no detected embedded manifest (remote-manifest fetching was disabled).

Source credentials remain in the originals. Final production signing still needs a suitable export workflow and approved credential. No test signature or paid certificate was introduced. Official inspection method.
